Gay Street Food Emporium

Gay Street Food Emporium

The Gay Street buildings are located east of the Central Business District in the Gay Street Historic District of downtown Baltimore, Maryland.

The project involves the restoration of three historic buildings, including one of the last remaining cast iron fronted buildings in Baltimore. All three buildings had been vacant for many years and have had substantial water damage.

The first floor of the building is the Gay Street Food Emporium. The second floor of the building provides seating for the food court and, accessed separately, the office space utilized by the law firm Lazarus & Burt, P.A. The third floor provides approximately 2,800 square feet of office space. The fourth floor contains one large space that has been reserved for use as a conference center for a future telecommunications center.

As financial consultant, CCA provided historic tax credit consulting services including deal structuring, identifying and negotiating with tax credit investors.
